- Hiatus Hernia & Reflux: tailors treatment to individual patients and performs various fundoplications as well as LINX
- Gallstones: Has performed more than a thousand of these operations and is the preferred surgeon for his colleagues. Apart from routine key-hole gallbladder operations, he is one of the few surgeons who specialise in removing stones in the bile duct at the same time of gallbladder surgery.
- Hernias: uses a unique technique for groin hernias which reduces chances of chronic pain. Has operated on a number of his consultant colleagues.
- Endoscopy: Performs diagnostic as well as advanced procedures endoscopically. One of the few surgeons in East of England who treats early cancer & pre-cancerous lesions endoscopically.

- Robotic Surgery: Mr Jayanthi is at the forefront of robotic surgery and has performed UK's first robotic operation to remove oesophageal cancer and is one of the senior Robotic Surgeons in UK.
Education & Research
Mr Jayanthi graduated from the prestigious Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute in India. He undertook research at University of Oxford University studying stem cells and diabetes and was awarded post-graduate doctorate for this research.
Surgical Training
Mr Jayanthi undertook higher surgical training in Wales, followed by advanced fellowships at internationally recognised centres of excellence, including ICENI centre, Colchester; Cancer surgery at St. James's University Hospital, Leeds & completed Ethicon Bariatric Fellowship at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
Mr Jayanthi was awarded the prestigious David Dunn Travelling Scholarship by ALSGBI. As a part of this award he has travelled to Japan and India visiting world renowned surgeons.
Mr Jayanthi practices a number of advanced key hole operation techniques that he learnt during these fellowships and has pioneered a number of techniques.
He is at the forefront of minimally invasive surgery and performed the first robotic oesophagectomy for cancer in the UK. His practice encompasses a broad range of complex operations performed using laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
In addition, Mr Jayanthi performs advanced endoscopic treatments for early cancers and pre-cancerous conditions, providing patients with less invasive options and faster recovery.
