What is Obesity?
Obesity is defined as having a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or above. It is a complex, chronic medical condition that affects millions of people in the UK and is associated with a significantly increased risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, sleep apnoea, certain cancers, and joint disease.
